Holy Spirit School Winter

Holy Spirit Catholic Church was established in 1988 and has grown into a vibrant parish with a national blue-ribbon school and exceptional religious education for preschoolers to adults. Parish life at Holy Spirit includes an active youth group and community-building gatherings for young families.

Jesus Christ in the Eucharist is the source and summit of our Catholic faith. Everyone is invited to step out of life’s busyness and spend quiet time with our Lord in the Perpetual Adoration Chapel.

Classes are available to learn more about the truth and beauty of the Catholic Faith.

In 2022, The Sioux Falls Catholic Diocese embarked on the
Set Ablaze process to aid in planning for the future of the Catholic Church in the Sioux Falls Diocese.

Pastorates, or groupings of Catholic churches under a single pastor, were formed. Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Sioux Falls and St. Dominic Catholic Church in Canton have been joined in a pastorate under the leadership of Father James Mason. After much planning and discussion, Good Shepherd Pastorate was chosen as the name for the pastorate.

Holy Spirit and St. Dominic have a joint  Pastoral Council and separate Finance Councils, which meet monthly.
